Tramping Weekend (encore)

Had a great weekend tramping not far from 'Beaufortain' here in Savoie. We took off on Saturday morning, clambered up les Alpes to the hut where we stayed the night, then on Sunday we made the descent back down to the cars. The group was a combination of both of my host families, there were 13 of us in total. It's great to get out there in the mountains. The first photo tells a tale of perfect weather, however it only lasted Saturday morning!

This is an artificial lake at the start of the walk... picture postcard stuff

GROUP PHOTO

These landscapes reminded me a lot of Central Otago.....

Lunch stop on Saturday, wines and cheeses all inclusive

Another nice scenic shot. Taken from the hut where we stayed

The hut where we stayed Saturday night. A good rustic hut - no electricity, pot belly fire and all
