We then decided that we weren't going to make it out of the port of Santa Theresa in the north of Sardinia, Italy in the near future, due to rough seas. We did try one day but after two minutes we had to turn around and head back! Instead, we hired a van and did a bit of visiting this way. It was a shame we couldn't have done more boating, but it was still great visiting this Mediter-anian island by road! This is the beautiful town Costa Paradiso on the west coast. The houses are so camoflaged into the hill... this is truly architecture which blends into it's surroundings. We didn't even realise half of them were there at a first glance! This is just incredible, towns like this looking out over the Med

Witnessed a pretty impressive sunset from Santa Theresa

Another day we spent visiting the east coast. This helps you understand why we couldn't leave the port! It's all good for the windsurfers

This was a bit of a surprise to see in Italy, a shop with Team NZ gear for the Americas Cup next year! You are probably asking yourself why I took a photo of this..But any reference to New Zealand I find in Europe gets me pretty camera happy.

Obviously because my host Dad is interested in boats, we spent a bit of time wandering around the ports checking out others. Found a few gems! like this retro coloured one!

With occasions for swimming in the ocean off the boat a bit limited, we made it to the pool a few times! Bah Voila, another fantastic holiday. We finally did make it back across to Corsica for the flight back to Lyon. The sea calmed down just as we left! It was a shame the sea was rough but still great to be there, staying on the boat. It's surely not every year I will have the oppourtunity for a holiday like that.
