Proste! Nothing better than having a Schanpps in Austria after a big meal
Visited the ADMONT Monastry and Library and Museum... don't know what it was about it but I found it facinating - And I've seen quite a number of
museums and the like around Europe to compare it with i can tell you. Photos were illegal, but I sneaked one in just to put on this blog. In
the library there are "The Four Last Things", four famous wooden Baroque sculptures done in the year 1760. They represent 1) Death 2) The last judgement 3) Hell and 4) Heaven. They are all filled with symbols... everything represents something. This photo is "Hell" for example, the symbol of eating and drinking too much is a figure with a bottle and sausages on his shoulder, then you can see the coins which represent greed, the peacock on the bottom right represents an obsession for beauty etc. etc. It was really interesting to read the explanations. These are quite famous sculptures is Art History apparently. There. I could be a tour guide.

And here are the Obritzhausers, the family who I had this great holiday with. Back row theres Andrea Me and Martin (Martin came to NZ on exchange) then Barbara, Gertraud & Walter. Taken at the best restaurant I have been to in my life. The Schtireich (probably spelt better than that normally). An amazing 4 course meal, great Austrian wine, the service... Perfect way to end the trip!
