These Lions were all over Germany for the Soccer World Cup... I thought this one with a beer was the most appropriate, beer being the one thing about Germany that sticks in my mind the most! That guy beside him was our awesome tour guide in Munich. Did about 8 or 9 guided tours of the cities we stayed at, some better than others but all interesting and beneficial. It was good hearing information and history about the places we went to, as pretty much the rest of the time was just socialising with the 55 Americans, Aussies, Canadians, Argentinians... and KIWIS! there were 8 of us! It was sooo cool hanging out with other NZers after 5 months away from them!

The highlight of our stay in Munich was the Hofbräu-haus (HB!) Beer Hall... its the most famous brewery in the world, known as being "across the road from the Hard Rock". Check out the size of those beers!!! 1 litre at a time mate. It's a huge bar which seats 1300 people (all tourists! and noone was really sitting down). This place had a massive atmosphere! You have to see it to feel it! We had so much fun there, surrounded in hundreds of happy and slightly drunk people from all over the globe, waving their flags around, singing and dancing to the traditional German band. We proudly pinned up the All Blacks flag. Rotary sadly didn't come to the party, and we were dragged back to the hotel at 10pm!
